Worst. Press Conference. Ever.

July 26th, 2007

TimWell, we’ve been hearing for awhile now how epically awful Disney’s E3 2007 press conference was, but had no video to judge for ourselves…until now. GameTrailers.com has part of the press conference up now, and while it isn’t pretty, I must admit, I’m a bit disappointed with its suckiness. I found it far less sucky than Activision’s press conference starring the Jamie Kennedy Disaster. What do you guys think?

Wii Fit Parody

July 18th, 2007

TimRay found this and I thought it was too good not to share. It really shows you how much the presentation of something will influence what you think of it. This guy makes the Wii Balance Board seem like a really stupid idea. Plus he sounds like Peter from Office Space which makes it even better.

Website Update Progress

July 13th, 2007

TimYou may have noticed some differences in the comment section of the site. I’ve been hard at work making some changes for both aesthetics and function. The comments have a cleaner look to them now (hopefully you agree) and I’ve added some buttons to the reply window to make customizing your comments a bit easier. I’ve incorporated Gravatars in the comments as well. These are Globally Recognized Avatars that go with you from site to site whenever you leave comments (as long as the site has them implemented). Right now you’ll see a lot of 2P Start buttons as defaults, so go ahead and sign up at Gravatar to get your own! Be warned, mine is still not showing up and it’s been a few days, so it may take a week or more for it to show up.

Second Prediction Correct?

July 11th, 2007

TimNow this is getting creepy. This article is pretty similar to what we thought might happen. It appears the 360 didn’t crash, but the need for a backup just goes to show the depth of the problem we’re joking about. Luckily, our third prediction is so far out there it’s really impossible for us to be completely right. But anyway, is everyone enjoying the E3 news so far? Impressed? Let down?

One Down, Two to Go

July 11th, 2007

TimJoystiq has already proven one of our predictions correct and E3 is just getting started! Their Killzone 2 impressions inevitably recall the 2005 E3 trailer and it just doesn’t quite stack up. “However, unlike the deceptive E3 presentation of yore, this one had an aura of believability. A critical eye could note a few rough jagged edges, and textures that are a far cry away from Hollywood renders. In particular, the floor textures were no short of terrible. The facial animation system could certainly use a bit more work as well. Were we a little disappointed to notice such identifiable indicators of visual flaws so quickly? Certainly.”

July 10th, 2007

TimWe’ve got a new comic archive up that makes it easier to find your favorite comic. Ray made these nifty thumbnails for each comic we’ve done so you’ll know right away what you’ll be clicking on. The archive links found around the page are updated to this new archive, but if you’re too lazy to scroll, click here.
