Wait, Seriously?

Guitar Hero

Guitar Hero Wii Remote

RayI’m not lying, either. In fact, to activate the Whammy Bar you shake the Wii Remote. I’ve been playing Guitar Hero III on Wii with the guitar, but I stumbled upon this explanation in the instruction manual. I couldn’t believe this was actually a way you could play the game. It also says to press “Up” for Star Power, but there’s an important ability that seems to be missing… Such as… how do you strum?

If it’s anything like playing the 360 version with a controller then you don’t need to strum, you just press the button for that note at the right time.

I can’t imagine too many people are going to beat expert mode with just a Wiimote!

It’d be cool to strum using a nunchuck, maybe? On the other hand it means less fingers on the wiimote and more difficult to use.

But since the guitar is more or less a Classic Controller in a guitar shell attached to the wiimote, then you could probably play the game using a Classic Controller as well! And check out the following link for how to connect the guitar to your PC and use with Frets On Fire (or any other PC game if you feel like =) )…

It’s like this in all versions since GH 1, you don’t need to strum, just press the button. Of course, like all other versions you would have to be a true fanatic to have any fun (or be any good) without the guitar.

By the way, Ray, beat Expert yet? Or at least hard? Don’t disapoint your readers man, you have not only the right, but also the duty, TO ROCK OUT
