Have a Social Life. For Free.
December 8th, 2007

I saw this ad on joystiq and the slogan really made me laugh: “Make Friends. Share memories. For Free.” Tell me something, have you ever paid someone to be your friend? And while it may cost money to go out with your friends, is there some sort of memory-sharing fee I’m not aware of? I think it’s time to fire the ad department.

Head Office at firefoxbrowserco (not affiliated with Mozilla in any way) fired the ad department. It was pretty quiet around the water cooler after that; us in Themes didn’t have much to joke about. That didn’t last that long, however. The company actually fired them because we bought up a small company called “AdBlockPlus co.”, and they filled all the ad people desks. They seem pretty nice; they get along with the Stumble and FireFTP people pretty well.
A. Nice header.
B. I don’t need a ‘free’ social life. It’s probably got a lot of pop-ups. I just use coupons for my life. I still have to pay, but it’s not as bad.
the only thing i need is meh and my computer.
OH NOES!!! SOMBODYS SEARCHING FOR MEH!!! O.o DEY GONNA GETS MEH!!! >.<
Wasn’t this how we met, Tim?
Did it all mean nothing to you?
I want a Gravitar!
Either way, I find it more disturbing that it’s got three women pictured on it, and it’s explaining the deficiency of costs involved. It’s almost as if *gasp* they wanted to market the ad off to… guys!
