    Yay, forums!

And your podcasts have personality. You don’t need scripts, just ques.
They are short, sweet, and to the point. Granted sometimes you do go on tangents.

Heh, “They would rock a certain way, or rock this way
    Nice pun.

    Where is the fourm!? WHERE!?!?!?!?!?!?

And your art isn’t bad, it’s stylized

And bittersweet Yay! I’m part of the big three of the 2pstart commenters.

Who got modship!? Well, I guess if you have to ask…

(Yeah, I write my post as I listen)

Go there for the forum until Tim sets up the link.

I think Tim messing up the “Trivia for Two” intro is a recurring theme šŸ˜€ . I wanna listen to a 2 hour 2pstart chat marathon since I usually listen to your podcasts at work.

I knew Ray’s trivia! I was looking up Diablo and some miscellaneous DC info today and I came across that tidbit. They also made “The Death of Superman”.

I also love the remixes, but I never feel like looking for them. You should put a “Remix” section in the “Extras” section, consisting of links from the remixes in the podcast’s.

I love GH:Aerosmith! Okay, that’s kinda overboard. But I am thoroughly enjoying it. I knew about the “Opening band” system for the game way in advance, so it didn’t bother me at all. And isn’t it supposed to be GH:III but with Aerosmith songs/stuff? Isn’t that the point of it being just an expansion, and not the next full GH. The one thing that irked me was that Joe Perry busted out a dual neck guitar on the second Aerosmith song, but he doesn’t appear to use it. Although I did like that the bands outfit’s change with every venue.

    Yes! I got’s a Black doom award! I get’s another first

Hey, I’m at work, I really am that bored.

    …………

  4. you are bored too dj? i wish i could listen to the podcast while i’m at work…. oh well, I will get to listen to this when i get home ^^

    what was the other topic

  6. Tim says:

The other topic was the forum, we just never formally said that.

  7. Okay, now that I finally was able to listen to the podcast (in between my making layouts and other things) I have to say, great podcast. yes, I agree with the whole comment thing, and I was to a point…”wow…honestly?” But the more important thing is, and its probably because I am really tired and my mind wanders as it gets late, but some of the stuff you guys said to each other in this podcast….could just be taken so wrong.

but! I like podcasts that have a structure, but the people are still messing around. thats kinda what i feel from your podcast, you both are having fun within your structure. probably why ive been an avid listener since 10 to 15 podcasts ago….
    Keep up the great work!

  8. Hikarusa says:

    Attn: Tim,

This has basically nothing to do with the podcast, but didn’t you say something about 10 days ago about making some more Name that games?

  9. Rokai says:

I would like to listen to a long podcast. You should make one too on your two years anniversary.

@Sega Saturn: Yeah Ray this clearly shows you’re a “geek and otaku” (joking)

What’s wrong with Ray’s art? Every webcomic is this cra good.

Yeah commenting was good. I was expecting worse than a Black Doom (ban or something) so thanks!

Yeah the eyebrows are quite similar, but only Dianlo’s eyebrows show that deep depression and pain he has.

So when I heard Ray say that you guys didn’t have a Wikipedia Article, I ran off and created one. The only problem is, it’s being disputed for notability. Why don’t you guys have a Children’s Charity like Penny Arcade (allegedly) does so that you can be on Wikipedia? :\ šŸ™‚

    Definitely a nice debate there.

Got anything to add to the page to make it more “notable” and “encyclopedic”? Anything would help at this point…

Got anything to add to the page to make it more ā€œnotableā€ and ā€œencyclopedicā€? Anything would help at this pointā€¦

You could add how 2pstart has a cult following and is equatable to games such as shadow of the colossus. Or something like that. Just an idea. Hmm……..how about……..I don’t know. Pelican cheeseburgers?

  14. Tim says:

    Tustin,
thanks for doing this, it means a lot. You could make the case that other members of Gamers Pair of Dice are on Wikipedia (Dueling Analogs, Goblins, SNAFU). I did go ahead and add our Joystiq wins (9 times, equal to that of Dueling Analogs!) to the article. In the end, if it gets deleted, that’s okay. We’ll just have to grow to a point where we ARE significant enough!

Wow, that was completely random. It’s going on my status on facebook :).

What’s the definition of cult following? We don’t have to drink Koolaid, do we? šŸ™‚

I didn’t even look. I think I will make that case then. And I do realize that it doesn’t much matter, but all the times I’ve added a new page, it’s been slated for deletion one way or another. I wanna make one that sticks for once. šŸ™‚ Thanks, Tim

HEY!!! And the deletion (at least “speedy”) has been lifted! AWESOME!!! šŸ™‚ šŸ™‚ šŸ™‚

  17. tustin says:

And now that it’s been resolved, can I get permission to use the 2P START! logo on the wikipedia page. It’d be best to do that than to have to argue a fair use case.

  18. Tim says:

you have permission to use the logo.

  19. tustin says:

(grumble grumble) That’s not enough – and I thought it was. Wikipedia doesn’t accept images released only for it. You have to release it under some large copyright law, such as the Creative Commons or the GFDL. I’m starting to hate Wikipedia…

If you created this media file and want it to be kept on Wikipedia, remove this message and replace this with {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

    Sheesh… Sorry for the bother.

  20. dj75728 says:

    Nice article Tustin.

  21. Tim says:

Tustin, I guess I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do. I don’t see that message anywhere on the wikipedia page…

  22. tustin says:

Tustin, I guess Iā€™m not sure what Iā€™m supposed to do. I donā€™t see that message anywhere on the wikipedia pageā€¦

It says it when I attempt to upload a file with “The use of this file is permitted only on Wikipedia.” If I attempt to upload it like that, it will be IMMEDIATELY marked for speedy deletion – which is a phrase I really hate…

I’m not sure if I can send you the link, because you can only get to the upload page after you have 10 edits on Wikipieda. Here’s what it says though:

The use of this file is permitted only on Wikipedia.

Dear uploader: This media file, which you just uploaded, has been listed for speedy deletion because you indicated that only Wikipedia has permission to use this file. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, since explicit permission to use it was given, this is in fact not the case. [1] [2] Please do not upload any more files with this restriction on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it. See our non-free content guidelines for more information.

If you did not create this media file but want it to be used on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may replace this message with one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Ok, I’m finally caught up! It was bad because I was waiting for the forums and podcast, and then my internet stopped working! It took about 2 or 3 hours to fix it, and I was really behind.

  24. tustin says:

Okay, sorry I overwhelmed you (as you haven’t responded yet) or your probably talking to Ray about it (if Ray is reading this, your probably talking to Tim).

I think the best way to release it is under the Creative Commons license. That’s what the webcomic xkcd is licensed under. :T

    (experimental emoticon –> :T )

  25. Andrew says:

yes, yes. Of course Blizzard should have made faces so different that when showing just the eyes as glowing points it is easy to tell them apart.

    Decent Podcast.

  26. lwelyk says:

I listen to a lot of podcasts, several of them go for an hour and a half every episode, if not more. : P So I don’t mind people going on too long, unless they’re boring.

  27. tustin says:

I really agree with the Black Doom award. I clicked the scrolling wheel on my mouse and let it scroll the page downwards for me. Even at the high speed it was going, I could make out some images from the avatars. I saw mostly some red Mega Man and Phoenix Wright.

None of you guys know how to use the “end” button, do you? It’s great: you hit “end” it gets you to the bottom (or END) of the page. You hit “home” and it jumps you to the top! Simple. Intuitive. Easy. NO SCROLLING!! šŸ™‚

On that note, I guess it’ll be a while before Tim and Ray release their logo so that Wikipedia can use it. They really are pondering what the benefits, if any, of doing that would be. Or else they forgot. šŸ™‚

No, not really. We just have an outline of topics we want to hit.

  30. chriskatching says:

Geez, yeah lots of comments on this one lol.

Blizzard has a significant track record, in WoW, of reusing skins from previous ‘versions’ of the game.

Whenever ‘create’ a new set, new character, or new creature … IT IS THE SAME THING! “Here is a new dungeon gear set!” (Input picture of the last set but this time its…. yellow! Yay!)

It is understandable when you have a game that is static, but when you make a significant update that IMPROVES graphics, uh, maybe the creatures should be… better?

And btw, Ray, the similarities mentioned in the podcast are minor compared to in-game issues.
