Just now catching up to last week's podcast and yeah, what's the deal with the $100 wifi dongle? Of course, I just got a 360 yesterday and was too impatient to research other options so that's my own fault, but sheesh.

At least it works great.

As far as filler: For the comic, you guys seem dedicated to your once-a -eek-never-break-the-format, I'd say even a filler on that is necessary. But honestly, busy schedules are a part of everyone's life and if it does inconvenience you and prevents a podcast being made, just write a quick message explaining. You guys are awesome, but you're not Superman. And your Christmas comic was fine. Honestly, people don't go to their real jobs on Christmas, why should you do your side-job then as well?

VG Cats can make me laugh quite a bit, but it does bother me that he never updates, but at least he has admitted it so thats a good step. And Super Effective has been relatively consistent.

100%? I mean, the Lego games are fun, but thats pretty intense. And the only time when that type of button configuration works is when theres an "action" button that does everything from pushing buttons to opening doors as long as it can only do one thing at a time.

More Kingdom of Crystal Skull bashing. I love it!!! But Sheppy makes a point.

Never complain about free food, especially if you're hungry. Good life lesson right there.

Everytime a Musical Misfit starts, I think the earthbound song is the song and I go "WHAT?? THIS ONE AGAIN?" But then I am pleasantly surprised.

1. If you are using a wireless adapter, shame on you. Wireless does NOT have a steady internet signal which true streaming needs to successfully do this at. Direct connection to the router is a must on real streaming outside of the video marketplace.

That's simply not true. If you have decent coverage to your wireless adapter then you can get a very steady connection at a speed that is more than enough for HD streaming.

However buying the official xbox wireless adaptor is pretty pointless. The Xbox 360 has an ethernet port, why not just buy a standard access point and connect it with a normal cat45 cable? Much cheaper and more flexible.

YAAAAAY! I get to disagree again!

First, thanks for the musical misfits. That's the first game I ever beat (though on my grandmas 2600, I could get all the way to Wave 37 on Joust on normal mode, and through three complete cycles on Moon Patrol). That put a huge smile across my face while listening to this podcast and I could completely remember the escape sequence after destroying the heart...

Anywho.... Netflix.

Three things really.

1. If you are using a wireless adapter, shame on you. Wireless does NOT have a steady internet signal which true streaming needs to successfully do this at. Direct connection to the router is a must on real streaming outside of the video marketplace.

2. Resolution as determined by speed is a necessity, unfortunately. Well, let's put it this way. Netflix judges your connection based on it's low. So that if you spend time in low, connection to the film is never lost and as such constant interrupts due to viewing faster that receiving as seen on Hula.com for some people doesn't rear it's ugly head. This for many would be unacceptable. So why not just buffer? Because Netflix doesn't have permission to store data into memory like a temporary directory that would be needed. Why ever not? Video Marketplace, me lads. THAT'S still the main draw. Watching WHILE downloading.

3. Why was Elf not included? Well, hate to break it to you but I severely doubt the movie maker would allow Elf to be streamed like that. It's still a top holiday DVD every year. Running on TV is one thing but on streaming through the interwebs for frees is a whole other. If you look at the watch instantly library you may notice a vast majority of it is beyond the window where companies expect the movies to make money from the DVDs. Yes, that does suck, but I wouldn't place the blame on Netflix.

As for me, just got done with my first test through the 360 and have to say I passed with flying colors. Back to the Future 1 & 2 both performed well and I had all four bars. But as I said before, I don't do wireless so that COULD be the core of your problem.
