Ready 2 Rumble Boxing Contest Round 2! [Final Update]
[FINAL UPDATE]: Let’s have one final push to hopefully win you guys a big prize! Maybe give it a good luck click, and we’ll get the results in a couple days!
Well, our good friends promoting Atari’s Ready 2 Rumble Revolution want to give you all another chance to win a Wii! Last time Comatose 811 was our lucky winner, but this time it could be you! What you need to do is click on the boxing glove above to find out more about the game, coming out in March on the Wii. Then, leave a comment below. The comment can say anything, just make sure your email address is valid when you leave the comment as this is our only way to contact the winner. If enough of you click, someone will win a Wii, otherwise, the winner will at least get a 2P START! t-shirt of their choice. Contest closes March 10th.
[Update]: Just wanted to remind those of you who haven’t entered yet, there’s still time! Also, I’ve been informed that pre-orders get a $10 discount from Amazon, Gamestop, and Walmart. Good luck!

Well I’m sure tons more people will do it this time… it certainly worked on me ^_^’
Didn’t enter in the last one, but this time I really want the 2P START shirt! … I mean the Wii.
Attempt #2. Yay. I still think the next Punch Out game has this wrapped up, though.
I hope I wiin! (I’m so, so sorry)
I hope I get a shirt! Also, the game description won me over at “hilarious”
“I reject your reality and substitute my own”
=]
I just likes to randomly enter contest…… Wahoo? I already left my two cents about R2RR (niftly little acronym) so um……. pick me?
I want that Wii if it is the last thing I do…
Now that more information has came up, I think this will be on par if not as good as if not better than Punch-Out! for the wii will be. This still looks like a great party game to at least rent or get if it does hit the bargain bin. It might cause some confusion with the side view and you having to punch forward to get the character to punch to the viewer’s right or left, but it has been like that with the previous installments and the screen seems less cluttered that way, instead of a splitscreen down the middle and cramming everything on a tiny space. It seems like a good game that will hopefully not get lost due to Punch-Out!’s nostalgia factor.
(Now let’s see if I can find more computers to get clicks on, You guys need it)
I even was going to respond to the last post…shows what happens when your mind slips, eh? As for the game, I trust the developer from what I’ve seen of previous titles to at least expect this game to be fun–probably not perfect, but at least entertaining.
Yaaaay
Wiiii
woo
…
After reading IGN’s impressions of the game, I think it might be pretty good. The character building sounds cool, espcially how you train to up stats and stuff.
Whenever I see a random computer I’ll click it.
I’m pretty excited that you guys are getting some great attention. Hopefully, I’ll be the one to win the Wii this time.
I hope I win! I didn’t enter last time because I didn’t want a t-shirt…… but now I know I can win a Wii I’m defiantly entering.
I could use the cash from selling an unneeded Wii!
A t-shirt would be nice, too.
If I win, I wouldn’t mind the T-shirt, but give the Wii to someone else who doesn’t already have one.
I keep hearing things about this game, I’m definitely giving it a rent at the very least!
I still say it’s a good game, just not for me.
No Bruce, let me finish…I love 2P Start
Well, I’m not gonna pass up a chance to win a 2P START! T-shirt, let alone a Wii. Then again, I doubt I’d pass up a chance to just get mentioned on the podcast, either. =P
As for the game, I can’t say I hold much interest, just not my kind of game. But it LOOKS nice and I’m sure it’ll have it’s fair share of fans. =]
Looks like a “meh” game, IMO. Might be comical for a few moments, but I think I’d get bored pretty quickly.
But then again I get bored with most things quickly.
That’s what she said.
The older games in the series provided some goods times when I was a kid, it pretty much all hinges on how well the controls are implemented. Wii games are always all over the place with that.
post. does that enter me? i hope you guys also give a consolation prize away too.
Looks ok, but I don’t really think it’s my type of game.
I don’t know if I’d like this game, but it looks like it could have potential. I’d like to try it out at least.
I’m in.
Like I said before (but not in the original thread), I’m not really into boxing games, and I don’t see what all the fuss is about, even with Punch Out Wii (probably because I never played the original). Boxing just isn’t really my thing. I’d like to know who the characters are, but I don’t think it would influence me enough to make me buy it.
I could use a
t-shirtWii. My PS2 is old.I’m not gonna win because I’ve already won something here
(the Mario Galaxy coin).
Btw, I guess I’m rising from the grave here.. It’s been what? 40 weeks since I’ve posted? (counting using podcasts
) Anyway, hey guys
I’m sure this game will prob due well since its on the Wii…
I’d rather see a decent Wii Motion Plus Tennis and Golf game for the Wii. Here’s hoping for at least a 2P START! shirt to tide me over until someone decides to release one.
Ah yes, this game needed a sequel. It’s bound to please a lot of people.
I’ll click it from home, from any school computers I get on, from my iPod Touch, from anywhere I can get internet access!
Also, more shirts need to be designed! Stop slacking off, Ray.
Luck be a lady…
My friend doesn’t have a Wii and he can’t afford it, so I will give this to him if I win. Let’s see how the dice roll…
DangerMack would like a Wii.
Actually this is rather interesting. Last time people saw that someone won a Wii. Now people are going to be clicking heaps more. But really….
For you to Wiiin (sorry it was necessary), we need others to click it to. So we need to pass it onto our friends, but then if we do so, we decrease our chances of winning! How intriguing!
Once again, looks like it won’t win the casual bunch and hardcore gamers don’t like waggling. Poor game, it doesn’t stand a chance
i am… right now… at this moment… eating a powder toad…O.O have no idea what it’s called in English :S
Anyway, I’m not that interested in Ready 2 Rumble Revolution, although I might check it out if it gets good reviews. But I am happy to say that the glitch (or whatever it is) in the link is still there.
My friend can’t afford a Wii too so I would give it too him if I win. He asked if I would give him one. But I guess you have to be in America to win this prize. If so do not choose me.
I clicked. I already have a Wii but If I eon it, one of my friends would get a very nice suprise in their locker that day. An empty Wii Box!
I always remembered the character from the original with the huge afro. This one needs a white boxer with a huge afro.
I’ma say it again…Hilarious = wii boxing, when I punch people I know in the face. XD
Well, I’m not really into boxing games, though Wii Boxing was fun. From some of the videos I watched, this game looks kind of strange, and a little creepy at times… I don’t really see myself buying this game.
Meh… I might get it… don’t send me a Wii if I do win though.
I WANT A WII, PLEASE!!!
And by the way, Eddie, do you happen to be Ray’s brother, because I don’t think you should be allowed to win the Wii because you have an unfair advantage. You know one of the sponsors of the contest! (Crowd gasps)
JK
Well, I’ll give this a try. A Wii couldn’t hurt, after being stuck with a ps2, ds and pc for the past 3 or 4 years. Or a t-shirt, I always seem to find myself broke when I want a 2P START! t-shirt. I wonder how many people will buy this game in order to punch Simon Cowell (this game may do well for the fail American Idol contestant demographic).
Fingers crossed……
I’d rather have a tshirt than a wii
I’m in! I’d like a Wii, kthxbai
…PLEASE?
Hmm. Ready 2 Rumble Boxing? Okay, I’m interested. It was fun on the dreamcast
Sssshlurp. Perhaps 55′s my lucky number.
All right, need to think up something worth reading…
The new D&D podcast set from Penny Arcade has its first episode up, and it is hilarious…so this spot is dedicated to recommending it.
it should say round two instead of part 2. this is about boxing after all…
I’m with vincecult, round 2 would have been better. Oh and I want free stuff so I’m commenting. Free stuff is amazingly win.
I CLICKEZ IT GUYZ OLOLOL
Here’s hoping, aye?
I want a Wii
Hi Tim and ray. i clicked on the link last time, but didn’t ever get around to posting. now i wish i had. I will not make the same mistake. The game looks fun, but i wouldn’t go out and buy it. and it does need to be titled round 2.
Same here…
If per chance I win, will you send the shirt (read: wii) to Canada?
“The comment can say anything”. Alright then: “ici, c’est xvii aussi?”
Woohoo another contest. I’am happy
Actually interested in the game, hoping it’s not another FACEBREAKER (ugh).
Last time I clicked, this time I comment as well.
I did my part and clicked. That being said, I hope we don’t win so I have a chance of winning a t-shirt.
Honestly, I’d rather have the free T-Shirt than a brand new Wii, no reason to Hombrew another Wii just to play Brawl+. XD
Rise from your grave should be interesting this week…
Anyhow, clickies from me too.
Clickedy Doo Dah! Clickedy Ay!
My oh my what a wonderful…. >_>
Good luck to the rest of you guys
Same issues I had before… not enough celebrities…
This game looks alright.
anything
Sweet, another chance! Woot, 2pSTART!
Ready 2 Rumble mor like… Beady..3…Bumble
yeah i got nothin
Hope I win! Game looks pretty cool.
I think that ready 2 rumble is just another game made for the children well it may be a harsh statement but i think that most wii games are made for that particular audience, the game looks OK though, hopefully the new puch out will be the opposite of this game.
Turns out I did not leave a comment with my real account. I’m just commenting with my real one hooked up with my email now. If I won the Wii, I would sell it on eBay for $250 Buy It Now, and get a 360. Oh! My thoughts! Not that interested in picking the up. Probably won’t.
Ready 2 Rumble was one of the better almost Punch-Out games, hopefully this one will be good before Wii Punch-Out.
Ya, I remember playing Ready to Rumble on the Dreamcast. Good ol Dreamcast.
Atari? wasn’t it from sega?
Win!
I can’t say I really support this with Punch-Out coming… Oh well.
fingers crossed
I want a Wii, please.
Yeah, gimme a Wii!
Oooh, I hope I win!!!!!!
I’ve never won a contest in my life. Which is why I’m entering this one. If a Wii ever wound up in my house, you wouldn’t be able to pry my kids off the thing with riot guns and a crowbar.
Wow, I don’t know how I feel about all the comments. I guess lots of people like to win. Anyways.
PICK ME PICK ME!
hahaha
Watching the videos on IGN again, I’m very sorry Atari, but I still think that this is simply an ugly game. The latest IGN videos certainly don’t make the game look like a lot of fun. I’d love to be proven wrong, so please do so. The minimal video we’ve been shown of Punch Out! for the Wii still beats everything I’ve seen on this game.
Alright, I’ll finally leave a comment in here.
Yay! Comment #100! I hope it’ll be lucky…
Hoorah for free Wii!
I went ahead and got the rest of my class to click the link at school, then I reset/reassigned IP’s etc so they could click again. All in the time our teacher went to find a stapler.
I am so ready to rumble with my free Wii!!!!
Figures my first comment on your site would be in the hopes of winning something, rather than a simple “NCG”
Ah well, back to silence!
They are going to be using external IP’s, so that probably won’t help. I would guess that your school only has a handful of external IP’s, and your class probably all had the same one. That is usually the way it works. The what you can do is go to all your friends houses, public libraries, Bestbuy (they usually have computers there that can hit the internet so you can check their website,) McDonalds (some have WiFi for free,) Coffee shops, etc.
