It's hard to review this game because it's technically $50, but since it comes with a Wii remote you're really buying a $10 game. And hey, for a $10 game, this is pretty good. Wii Play is a set of eight games made for two-players, but can still be played solo as well. They are as follows:

Shooting Range: fire at targets using the pointing functionality of the Wii Remote. I probably enjoy this one the most, but since it's only five levels long it makes it hard to play alone for very own without going crazy trying to beat your previous high-score.

Pose Mii: Pop the bubbles falling from above by fitting your Mii inside of it. The only way you can get your Mii inside is by making sure you have the correct pose as indicated by the silohette on the bubble. This is a good one, as it gets really challenging on the brain trying to switch between all the different poses by pressing A and B.

Table Tennis: In one player mode it's all about how many times you can volley the ball back at the computer - which I think is much better than the awkward feeling you get trying to do two-player. Can you put spin on the ball? No idea...

Billiards: I didn't get much of a kick out of Billiards, but then again pool has never really been my cup of tea. Some reviews I have read claim Billiards to be the best of the group, so perhaps you'll find more in it than I did.

Find Mii: Essentially a Where's Waldo? game using Miis from your library. This is a great game that can get incredibly challenging later on as you race against the clock trying to find multiple look-alikes in large busy crowds.

Tanks!: A cool shoot-em out game that uses the Nunchuk attachment. Move your tank around on the screen with the joystick as you aim at the screen and fire with the Wii Remote. There's a good amount of strategy that goes into this one, since you can bounce your bullets off the walls and try to catch your opponents off guard at different angles.

Laser Hockey: This is nearly pointless single-player, but with two-players you can find some pretty good fun. This game is held back from control issues unfortunately. The game wants you to be really sensitive with your movements, but human nature is to try to slam the ball as hard as you can.

Charge!: Another one of my favorites - by holding the Wii Remote sideways, you ride a cow and try to knock down scarecrows as you race to the end. Tilting forward or backward will change your speed as you tilt left and right to turn. This is a lot of fun, but unfortunately is just far too short. They really should have made different courses and had a grand prix.

Fishing: I enjoy this one more than most seem to. It's a simple game of trying holding a fishing rod into the water and pulling in fish. There's really not much more to it than that.

Overall, I've found people continually complaining about Wii Play because of the game's lack of depth and its easy difficulty. For those complaining about it being too easy can try to get some platinum medals...

I think some people are so used to playing Legend of Zelda masterpieces that they don't realize the purpose of this game. It's about sitting down with a friend and just having some care-free joy playing through some fun two-player games. That's all. This game does exactly what it intends to - after all, it's only ten dollars.

Verdict: Great for playing with a friend. Buy it if you need a second Wii Remote for sure.
