It’s certainly been a while since we’ve had the energy to add anything to 2P START! after officially ending it about a year ago. Tim and I have tossed around a few ideas here and there, and I even started on one of them… but something about this particular Sonic 2 joke just begged me to complete it.
With such an enormous amount of time since the last postmortem comic was released, I decided to challenge myself to deliver something a little more unique and exciting for the fans. Hope you enjoy it, and thanks for holding interest in us even after the death of the site! We’re looking to have a brand new podcast around the time E3 2011 hits.
While it’s true that I am the father of two kids, I also take advantage of nap times, and have made the comic image link to the YouTube video. Of course, Ray will take humor over function every time, so the image isn’t going to change. I will say that I love this video myself, especially because of how authentic it looks. Ray put in some amazing touches that obviously weren’t available as sprites, so props for that.

Right before I saw this I was watching my brother play that exact level on Sonic, and we were actually talking about those animals. Didn’t have that exact Idea though, great job on the animation, loved it!

Hmm Hmm, such an adorable little animation, what with the animals and such. Such sweet little babies, those teeny-weeny animals, sonic rescuing them. Is the joke that one will grow up to be Chip? This is my version of this joke. It is the best version for now future Chip is all splatirified. And Ray and Tim, you ought to come to your senses and continue to heal the immature rift that seems to be ripping right across this little internet of ours, okay?
