Overshadowed, Outmatched

I found it quite interesting that three different companies were releasing RPGs on the DS on the same day, but even more interesting that they would release them on the same day as Madden ‘08. Luminous Arc by Atlus is a strategy RPG in the vein of Final Fantasy Tactics and the like, Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon is a more traditional RPG (with farming/simulation elements included of course), and Heroes of Mana is an RTS (real-time strategy). Oh, and Madden ‘08 is a sports title (American football), in case you just joined us on planet Earth.

Not some of my best work, but Tim seemed to like it when I sent him the finished version. I guess I need to brush up on my “Football Cleat Imprint” skills.

Not your best work?! Don’t be like that Ray, I thought that this week’s comic was great and the drawings were very good

I’m guessing there’s not much overlap between Madden fans and RPG fans…

Kip, yeah you’re probably right, but I still think the DS titles will suffer a bit because they are being released on the same day as Madden. They kind of get lost in the shuffle, which is a shame because all three look intriguing.
