Sonic Confirmed for Brawl; Delayed
October 10th, 2007
Sweet! I called this over a year and a half ago, back when no one thought it was possible. As an obsessive fan of Sonic, it still feels a little like a dream, but I’m happy Sonic has made it into the game, and he looks great. Not perfect, but great.
Noooooooooo….. please… at least 2007…
Update: Delayed until February 10th, 2008.
I’m buying it just for Sonic. Some of his moves look cool too, but then that’s to be expected for Sonic.
I think most Sonic fans that were paying attention to the Brawl character development will have seen this coming from a mile away, especially after the Mario & Sonic at the Olympics announcement, but that didn’t make today’s news any less awesome!
BTW: I think Sonic’s looking better than ever these days. The shiny models from Heroes are thankfully a thing of the past. Now if only Sega would sort out the terrible voice-acting that’s plagued the series for far longer than dodgy character models…
Nintendo has officially won.
NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!!!!! NOT ANOTHER SSBM DELAY!!!
It was terrible enough having to wait till December 3rd when I was originally expecting it to come out last MARCH, but now they’re moving it up two more months?!? I was able to console myself before thinking that I’d rather have a great, quality game be released a little later than a bad one that’s on time, but this is taking too long now. You’d think by now those guys would be competent enough to make decent scheduling plans at least! I mean, come on, what’s the big hold up?
…a bitter sweet day, got a sonic and a delay. Sorry Ray, but I think I’d rather have lost Sonic and kept the Dec 3 date (yeah, I know, Sonic’s probably not what caused the delay, but it still feels like it did)
That’s what you say now… but I’m sure that will change once it’s finally out.
Sonic got Brawl delayed because the programmers were too overwhelmed trying to get blast processing to work in a Nintendon’t game.
I can’t believe anybody actually believed that it would hit this release date. Nintendo lies, lies, then lies some more. They’ve been doing it since the SNES era and still no one has caught on.
Oh!, and guess what. It WILL get pushed back again, and trust me, I would LOVE to be wrong.
But I won’t be.
