   So, so, so, so…….. They made a baby?! This means that we watched an act of conception?!?! The rating on this site has suddenly skyrocketed!!    As someone who has done extensive Birdo research, let me clear the air on this issue. In Super Mario Bros 2, Birdo was in fact a man who wanted to be a woman. However, perhaps Nintendo of Japan got some complaints about this or decided they would get some complaints? So in future games with Birdo (Mario Kart and the like) they from then on just said it was a girl, thereby ret-conning the gender of Birdo in America. In Japan she/he may still be a dude, I’m not sure. I do know that they’ve gone so far as to show Birdo and Yoshi holding hands in one manual, so Birdo is definitely a woman in America. Or Yoshi is gay. Or Yoshi is female and Birdo is male. Reply to this comment.

    My explanation is way better. SMB2 = Pre-op Afterwards = Post-op Thus explaining the change in gender. Birdo simply had a sex change operation after SMB2. Reply to this comment.

    So hows about some Mario Kart Wii talk in the podcast, as much as I hate to say it, the game was well worth it, not only are the new tracks awesome, the online play is simply beautiful and the wheel was actually worth it(I know that sounds like I’m advocating satan). But when you are actually playing the game, having the wheel access and the easier to use b button makes a whole lot more difference than people give it credit for. Oh and I picked up Okami, sans watermark thankfully. Reply to this comment.

    @Psyco: I love my Whiil too, I feel like using the remote defeats the purpose of the Wii and it’s motion controls, it’s not like the Whiil/Wiimote mechanics are broken or anything like that(I’m looking at you Lair >_>). And i’ve started using the wiimote for brawl too Reply to this comment.
