  2. Betta splenden says:

I just went through all the podcasts and all the comics, again and made a realization. Woah, Ray had a girlfriend! Now I have to get one.

  3. Burnflare says:

Great podcast guys! I loved Tim’s Black Doom Award. Who would have thought, Capcom disappoints us all again. *cough*Mega Man 2 for iPhone*cough*

    Great podcast again.
but did Tim ever give his comment of the week out? Maybe I’m crazy and I missed it, but they went to Ray’s second (hamburgers? Burgers? burger? whatever?) and then just went to rise from your grave.
Did they just forget? Did Tim actually not have one? or is another step in Ray’s secret plot to gain control of 2pstart by slowly cutting Tim out of the podcasts.

i think that he asked ray if he had another one because he didnt have one. he was probably looking for one while they were talking about “burger’s” comment, and was happy when ray forgot to ask for his. haha

-This Trivia For You is hard indeed. I don’t even know at what occasion a loop like that would play..

-I’m personally not really feeling any of those box art pics, except for maybe Killer 7. The problem I have with most of them is that they are trying to be sort of symbolic. It comes off as a little pretentious. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with the symbolism, but they all look like book covers to me.

-I actually didn’t like the brush style on “Wind Waker, Heart Breaker”, but I have to admit it looked sort of plain without.

-The remix might not be finished, but I think some people would love to have a downloadable version of it. Just an idea.

-Sonic Black Dooms are always great! I really miss the guy, but seeing Sonic Team’s delusional attempts at making good games just put a smile on face every time… I almost feel bad for laughing.

-Woah-hoh. Ray, I think you’ve got some issues there. Sounds like a phobia, almost.

  7. BulimicKoala says:

Also the reason I said that the comic is going in the ditch was because the last few comics haven’t done anything for me. I dont hate you guys I just hate the last few comics and I am sure the comic will go back to being great.

    😐
That’s how I feel about deciding to finally finally finally! (I came onto 2p start after it was on hiatus) bringing back Trivia for you, and at the same time making it an impossible song to figure out..at least work your way back to the more difficult songs!

I’d have to make a guess, even if it is a blind one, otherwise I wouldn’t be happy with myself…Is it from “Kirby 64 – The Crystal Shards”? I swear it sounds so much like a techno remix of Kirby music…

  9. Anon says:

    I know it’s a Kirby song…

    is it tilt and tumble?
    avalanche?

  10. ultimateDK says:

It sounds like a load screen or a menu song…so possibly Kirby Air Ride? (I didn’t play that one much)

  11. Anon says:

Also, I don’t know if this has been said before, cause I’m lazy, but next Zelda Comic-
    Legend of Zelda: Soul Train!

  12. Anon says:

    Also, maybe Kirby: Canvas Curse?

    I know it’s a Kirby game!

  13. ultimateDK says:

    I know it’s a Kirby game!

We gotta figure this out dude…it’s driving me nuts!

  14. Tacos says:

Ok, just because of how the Trivia for Two went down last week, I’m saying the song is from Kirby: Canvus Curse… Japanese soundtrack edition.

  15. igorpwnweed says:

    Kirby 64?

  16. roadjcat says:

I thought it also sounded like a Kirby song, but Tim didn’t even recognize the name. I’m sure he knows who Kirby is.

As for my thoughts on the podcast, well, I’m not going to do my list, because nothing to major to comment on, but it was a good podcast, I’m glad to see Trivia for You return.

As for the Remix, it sounded like a cross between a Wii menu and something from Harvest Moon (which, btw is a good thing).

I didn’t really care for the Musical Misfit as I’m not a fan of singing in video game music. Some I like (Mirror’s Edge’s theme and I can go for certain versions of Loving Guitar’s Serenade from Apollo Justice), but it would better better if it was in English.

Also, start using some music from the original Paper Mario! XD You used a couple (at least one) from Super and tons from TTYD.

    Rouge (at the Olympic Games)

Oh and really random, but I remember court-records.net having a poll on what a spinoff of Ace Attorney should be…or if it was a different gener (something like that), and I think my favorite was Ace Attorney and Trauma Center at the Olympic Games. XD

  17. RedVinnie says:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhWvs0rccAI thats my musical misfit choice. great podcast this week guys. i really enjoyed it.

  18. DrOswald says:

    Also, maybe Kirby: Canvas Curse?
    I know it’s a Kirby game!

I really doubt it is a Kirby game for a couple reasons, the biggest being Tim’s response to the game, unless it was some ridiculous spin off. Also, the music is not nearly energetic enough and doesn’t match the instrumentation of any Kirby soundtrack I am familiar with.

  19. Eddie says:

Wow, the 69MB download led me to believe it was a really long podcast episode. I guess there were just a lot of pictures.

  20. Ryman says:

I was thinking Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamlands, “All In Monochrome”…

but I’m going to have to go with one of Kirby Super Star’s menu music.

  21. NintenDood says:

Sweet show this week guys 😀
I think that song is from… Kirby.. Super Star Ultra?:)

  22. Kvb (on DSi) says:

It’s not a Kirby game. I’ve played them all, except for Air Ride. And I know it’s not Air Ride, because I’ve got the gamerip of it.

Tim doesn’t know the game, and Ray loves it, so it’s obviously an obscure Dreamcast game.

My second guess is an obscure Gamecube game.
The music quality is too good for anything older, and the song has been in the podcast too long for it to be anything not Nintendo or Sega. (knowing Ray.)

  23. sheppy says:

@KvB, they come off a little pretentious because the entire purpose is to ape the designs of the Criterion Collection. In other words, artistic and minimalist.

  24. Anon says:

    Jet Set Radio?

    nooooooo

  25. zijjh says:

I originally thought Kirby, but it would be too easy, the only possible Kirby game that’s even slightly remote would be Kirby’s dream course, but I know it’s not that. I’ll get back on this one.

  26. ultimateDK says:

    Musical Misfit:

That whole game was a highly underrated misfit…but I love that game to death!

  27. MetaRidleyR27 says:

I listened to this one on and off, so I don’t have much to say this time. Anyway, Nice Podcast Guys! This new Trivia for You is really racking my brain, as it sounds very Kirbyish, although that clearly isn’t the case. 🙁

  28. zijjh says:

This is a great song from a great game.

  29. sheppy says:

Sad part is I know the Trivia for You… locked somewhere in my brain. I’ve played it, I remember liking it. It’s just somewhere. Trapped in the brain ethers, washed away like some memory of happier days. When I walked under cerulean skies…

Then all you need to do is find and listen to the soundtrack of every game you have ever played. Should be easy, right? Well, your one step ahead of the rest of us at least.

You would think that but my game collection is 1050 strong… not including the games I’ve sold/lost/had stolen from me through the years.

  32. BadnikHunter says:

Haha wild guess for the trivia for two, not for the shirt, but for the pride of getting it right. considering ray said he loves they game, ima just say Res for fun 🙂

even though, i might add, that its clearly not res, though i havent played it so i could be wrong.

  34. BadnikHunter says:

Woah, how about super magnetic neo? He reccomended it so maybe thats it!

  35. Cheezwhiz says:

Hmmm… The Trivia for You feels like a Kirby song, but I know it’s not Canvas Curse. I think it sounds like it’s from Donkey Kong. Looking at my stack of Gameboy games, I say it’s Donkey Kong Land III, though I don’t think many people have listened to that in the past week. Bah!

  36. roadjcat says:

Tim doesn’t know the game, and Ray loves it, so it’s obviously an obscure Dreamcast game.

My exact thoughts. I’ve got about 5 or so games in which I’ll recognize the music. This was not one of them. It doesn’t help that a lot of the music is relatively old.

  37. I found it interesting that you gauged the quality of the comic by the number of comments. While I wouldn’t say I hated the last comic, I did feel at a loss on what to comment about it. Though I have noticed that, if you count the ValentiNES, 4 of the last 9 comics have a Zelda influence.

  38. dj75728 says:

It was the intro song Metal_Link. Anyway, I just had to stop by and say that the remix was super special awesome Ray. You should really finish that someday, and a link would be nice too 😉

  39. Ryman says:

The more I listen to it, the more Space Channel 5 or another sega game comes to mind….

…I only think people (including me) think it’s kirby because of the final 30 seconds of it…

  40. roadjcat says:

Oh btw, nice Wind Waker music. It’s one of the actual physical soundtracks that I have.

  41. trivia song’s got a hint of Kirby to it am I right?

  42. says:

Okay seriously the Rikiriki remix was way to long…

I will never tire of LttP I will beat it at least once a season.
