Oh, wait. You were talking to Player one… not three. Sorry. 😉
Ray with that lisp sounds funny… I should read Ray’s lines like that from now on.
Here’s what I think Nintendo is going to do: (in a spoiler to save space)
A series of New Super Mario bros games: Japan gets a NSMB2 That is too hard for American players, Instead they hack “New Doki Doki Panic” and call THAT NSMB2, That one goes to Japan under the name New Super Mario USA. The Japanese Nsmb2 gets released later for the Ds2 in Super Mario All-Stars Ds under the name New Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels.

I can’t wait for New Super Mario Bros. 3 to be revealed in “The Wizard 2″… I can just see it now.

“I love the Wii Motion Plus, It’s so bad“
The new PSP’s look cool, I’d get one if it had games I’d actually play on it…
I hate having to blow my Ds just to do stuff that I could do with a button press. You can’t just blow into it, you have to go like ‘Pbhhhhht’.
That’s my show, thank you for watching. Join me every Wednesday for a new comic and every Monday for a new podcast, like this one, only better.

This podcast looks really hopeful as opposed to last week’s. 😛 I really enjoy the new layout as well. I’m curious as to how the BDA archive is going to work.

Regee fighting Cammie in Star Wars would be awesome! Them making fools of themselves is part of why I watch E3. I’m hoping for something exciting from Nintendo, but like last year, I’m not going to psych myself up too much.

Both BDAs were awesome this week! I wasn’t considering a PSP GO in the first place, but that design is just annoying. I’d actually think about buying a PSP that was set up like the mockup shown. And since I’ve heard very little about Fusion Frenzy, I thought it was an intense Ping Pong match just from listening. That’s the game where you’re inside of giant balls and try to beat the crap out of each other, right? Wow, even the concept sounds lame.

That was a cool Musical Misfits! The bit at the end was just hilarious. Finally, Nice Podcast Guys! I’m looking forward to next week’s to see your opinions on E3.

That Abomination of a PSP….is not cool.

But it’s your opinion, so oh well.

I’m happy I got a third Comment of the Week XD.

And Tim stole my Black Doom! How dare he!

7. Matteron says:

Ok ok it was a great podcast guys but I got urgent news!!! Nintendo just sent me a letter on my wii saying that they won’t accept any more screenshots, stages, or replay data as of 06/30/09 after reading this and listening to the podcast I actually believe that nintendo is teasing us with by completely ruining our experience and then realeasing a new mario galaxy, zelda, and smash bros title to make every nintendo fan *cough*Ray*cough* cry with joy.

8. sheppy says:

Okay, my take on PSP Go! is simple. All we have is 5% of the picture, at most. I’m not going to say I love the design but I’m not going to say I hate it either. Basically, as I said, we know NOTHING about PSP Go! at this point. Allow me to explain.

1. Lots of empty space? Depends, how does it fit into your hand. This is the issue people assume they know. Based on the size that we’ve confirmed, it’s only slightly larger than an iPhone. Hardly the massive device of the PSP. So let them use up a ton more space and make it awkward as hell is a good thing how?

2. According to many rumors, Sony has a solution in place to transfer your existing PSP collection onto your Go. Once again, this is part of the whole “We know nothing aspect.” If it’s like PSN accounts are right now and you can delete or redownload ala Steam and such… I see no problem.

3. The reason why there is no second nub is simple enough. It’s been know since launch, actually. According to an engineering Post-Mortem on the PSP written by Ken Kuturugi, the PSP originally had two nubs. But while testing use, the PSPs kept falling out of peoples hands. Now if you have a PSP, place your finger on the left nub, not play your finger on a dime on the right side and move your right thumb like a nub… holy crap, lookit that. Ken was right, keeping a grip on the system becomes drastically different. As to playing MGS on PSP, I have to wonder if you played any MGS games before this one. Aside from aiming mode, the right stick was hardly ever used. MGS on PSP works fine. So in conclusion, the two nubs missing is more of a “this crap will break when it hits the ground” than anything.

4. What’s been announced about it? Supposedly the PSP Go! will bring much better integration with PSP games starting with GT5… but once again, this is rumor.

So yeah, personally, I don’t know what to think about the Go because we know NOTHING. In my opinion all opinions positive or negative are wishful thinking. And yes, that goes negative as well. Fantards delight in watching any company fail… Also, that concept model everyone loves would snap like a twig. Ask any engineer. “Wow, this is cool!” *snap* GAH! My $200!

Funny Podcast. Now I want Tim to announce a new game, or at least Ray in his little kid Ray voice.

I don’t think they are ruining anything. They are still SENDING screenshots etc., they just aren’t taking them any more, probably because they don’t want to have some guy who just goes through thousands of submissions weeding out the crappy/inappropriate ones. I’m sure they have more than enough backlog to last a couple years.

12. roadjcat says:

1. Hey, thanks for making the forum tab really small. Now even less people will visit. XD

2. The is the first and only podcast that I’ve listened to, so you didn’t have to get me over a dislike of other podcasts.

3. Yeah, I personally found the video to be MUCH funnier than the comic. Sorry Tim.

4. Sorry, but Fringe is better than Lost (Though I’ve never actually seen lost :P).

5. Spiffy remix.

6. Up was awesome.

7. The effects you add to Tim’s laughter and “How dare they!” is awesome.

8. Best background music ever for the BDA’s this week. If I’m not mistaken, one piece was from Super Paper Mario (The Underwhere, I believe) and the second was from Metroid (Echoes I believe).

9. Oh and the Lakitu says “STEAK!” instead of strike.

13. CKcheeseboy says:

Tim: “I think I’m the announcer.”

Love the remix. I also like his version of the music from Mega Man 9:

15. Kyzin says:

I think the world has broken in half. I actually agree with what Roadjcat thinks about Fringe. My preoblem with Lost is that they’ve got no idea what they’re going to do; they make it up as they go along. A planless plan can be good in some instances, but in a weekly tv show….? Not so much.

16. roadjcat says:

As for Musical Misfits: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v66p1JS2QXs

Not sure if I already suggested that one, but if I did, oh well.

17. Ray says:

My preoblem with Lost is that they’ve got no idea what they’re going to do;

After watching through all of season 5, which just ended, I feel more than confident that they have a definite plan for the show and how it will end. Earlier on there was a certain amount of tap-dancing they were doing since they had no scope of how long the series would go on, but ever since they’ve been given an end date, things have been speeding along with great accuracy.

I get what Roadjcat is saying as I’ve THOROUGHLY enjoyed Fringe this last season, but it’s unfair to compare the two. You could compare each one’s FIRST season, in which case, it’s pretty tough to beat Lost. The problem with most serialized TV shows is, after one season, many of them go downhill. Shows like Prison Break and Heroes come to mind.

I know that’s why I was kind of kidding. The whole Lost thing really only gave me a relevant reason to say how awesome Fringe is.

Heroes is coming back…that last season was actually pretty good. They’ve killed off 80% of the characters, leaving us with the 10 or so that actually matter.

And they’ve released the 360 degree veiw of the PSP Go. There’s no way to take out the battery, no memory stick, no umd port, no second nub (which both nubs can move upward), and yeah….it doesn’t look that great.

21. sheppy says:

Actually, there is a way to change the battery. Memory Stick slot is on the bottom and it’s M2. All PSP games from this day forward will be download or UMD releases with no announced solution yet on how to convert your current collection. Only people who rumored the second nub were the people who never talked to devs. Seriously, second nub has been shot down for this for a full year already. And frankly, I think it looks great in white…

Sticker shock is bad though. If Sony was smart, they’d ship every launch Go! with a copy of GT Mobile already installed. Sony has a history of shipping launch units with freebies.

Ray, it’s not like anyone e-mailed you a list of Season 2 Black Doom Awards, and never got a conformation back that they had been recived or any other form of akcnowledgement, is it?

If I never thanked you for the list or acknowledged even receiving the list, then I apologize. You helped kick off the archive section in general, and I am truly grateful for that. I’ve got everything on my side done now, so it’s up to Tim to putting it up….

24. Somewhat random question, but, what is the picture that is used for all the Musical Misfits segments? I’ve always been curious.

25. The Gastronomic Gamer says:

I cannot believe how wrong you were about E3. Nintendo announced so many mind-blowing things, Microsoft’s motion sensing thing isn’t half-bad, and Sony, while failing with the already-revealed PSP Go, had The Last Guardian.

Seriously, as Nintendo fans, you guys have got to be pretty happy.

* Super Mario Galaxy is getting a sequel that literally forced a smile onto my face

* New Super Mario Bros. is getting a co-op laden sequel which everyone would love to play

* Metroid (while myself not being interested) is having another game which is both 1st AND 3rd person and developed by Team Ninja

* Golden Sun is getting a long-awaited sequel that is most definitely pandering to the “Hardcores”

*You get a little thing to put on your finger

Hey, at least the obligatory peripheral isn’t a piece of plastic.

I’m going to be saying this a lot in the coming weeks, but this E3 had one of my favorite announcements and a “WHY!??!” announcements. The good one being the Metroid and the WHY!?!? being Golden Sun (for those of you who don’t know I absolutely hated the first game and never bothered with the second).

I think the Metroid game catered more to the hardcore than Golden Sun. There were tons of old characters in that Metroid trailer, Ridley, Adam Malkovich, Mother Brain, etc.

Talk lots about Metroid, ‘K? 😀 It’s E3 again so my long podcast notes may just be coming back.

Roadjcat, you’re hatred for Golden Sun is now becoming a reverse fanboyism type of thing. Seriously, just because you didn’t like one of the greatest GBA games doesn’t mean you can bash it or be like, “Ugh, Why is this game coming out?!” Seriously, a large amount of people love the game. Look at me, I don’t beat the crap out of Halo or Gears of War everytime it’s mentioned.

I didn’t realize I could click the podcast titles to get to a page where I could comment on them. I always just downloaded from that big listing to my MP3 player. But then I ran out of memory, so I started streaming with my Linux PC.

I wanted to say that EP100 was my favorite podcast so far because of the “If you’re black, you’re dead? Do do, do do…, do do?” bit that probably came from an even earlier episode I haven’t seen (I’m going in vaguely reverse order. Like 100-111, then 90 ->99, then 80 -> 89), but now that I’ve heard the “well, thanks-well, thanks-well, thanks-well, thanks…” thing, I LAUGHED TO TEARS. It was so good. And then the way Tim describes how funny it was while sounding somewhat disinterested at the same time made it twenty times as funny as the sound was alone. And then that last little bit after talking about it.
Oh wow it was great.

(I’m a new reader/listener, just picked it up two or three weeks ago from Kotaku’s comics. I could ramble on much more about it, but I think I’ll just comment more on a second reading of the comics.)
