1. First! I liked this one! Best Postmortem yet! ๐Ÿ˜€

Alright, first off – Tim, HOW DARE YOU. You need to finish Scott Pilgrim AND get a brain!

Crap, this means that I need to update my addresses on my map of internet people. UH, I MEAN…. UH….. Scott Pilgrim was awesome?

Oh, and we wouldn’t mind using a few of the comic ideas…. and stuff… Although, we do have a few ideas lined up.

(part where I’m not really paying attention because I’m building Scott Pilgrim’s head in Minecraft)

Admittedly, The Big Bang Theory does have way to much laughter, although it’s still awesome, and I was watching TBBT before and after this show.

(starts paying attention again because I finished building Scott Pilgrim’s head in Minecraft, realizes the show’s almost over)

• yeah568 says:

Oh, and THE Scott Pilgrim books are actually a lot better in my opinion, and a few of the lines are better (“What about the tea” instead of “We can not have tea”, for instance) and the story has a lot more background information and such. There’s also entire plot elements that were shifted/removed entirely (Nega-Scott, the part with the massive fight in the Toronto Public Library, which was awesome, BTW), so the books are really worth checking out.

• Um, so, yes, I am still ridiculously obsessed with all things Scott Pilgrim at the moment. I spent several hours developing the characters within Rock Band 2 only to do it all over again in Rock Band 3 before even playing a single song.

And while I’ve been adamantly opposed to the idea that the alternate ending should have been the actual ending, after a few repeat viewings I suppose I could see it going that way. Maybe. But only in the movie. Not in the books.

3. Laelaps says:

Interesting that you said that about Scott Pilgrim, Tim, given that both the Title Song and Climactic Song of the film (the latter is a remix of the former) is named “Death to all Hipsters.”

Also, good for you for moving out of your and Ray’s house.

Btw, there is a Wipeout: The Game. My sister asked for it for Christmas, and got it…sigh…
The collision detection is so dreaful, it’s hilarious for the first five minutes.

4. Teengamer says:

The music in Inception brought it to a whole new level. I agree that it was EXTREMELY well-done, and probably my favorite movie of all time. Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer go pretty well together. ๐Ÿ˜€ Another reason why that movie is so good is that Nolan insisted that a lot of the scenes would be done without the use of CGI i.e. the Train plowing through the cars or the never-ending staircase (they just used perfect camera angles, and only CGI’d the support system out of it, but that’s it).

…Sorry for going off there, but yeah, great movie. ๐Ÿ™‚

Good podcast guys, I really enjoyed it. It would be a lot better if you added a laugh track though.

5. Doopliss says:

I turned on iTunes. Apparently I automatically downloaded it without knowing, and I freaked out! Listening now.

Question.
Why does the “album art”, so to speak, have the Google Chrome large image icon on it?
If you don’t know what I’m saying, and you have Chrome, find a large image and drag it around. You’ll see what I mean.

6. CaRmAgE says:

Movies: Not much to say about this. College has not given me much time to watch any movies.
Comic: I didn’t get it at first, either, but the title still made me laugh.
Super Mario Galaxy 2: The Green Stars definitely took the game to another level. I really should finish collecting them all.
Not looking forward to the expert galaxy, though.
Black Eyed Peas Song: As soon as they started singing, I wanted to mute my speakers. It sounded terrible!
TV Shows: Comedy shows are definitely better with a real audience.
Best: So Halo: Reach is a good game? That’s nice to hear there is a Halo game that is actually good. As for the 3DS, I might as well get it, since I still have the original DS.
Worst: I don’t know if this would be the worst game of 2010, but I still think Mario vs. DK: Mini-Land Mayhem! is a terrible game. If you don’t believe me, check out this poll at GameFAQs, which was voted on worldwide.

“(part where Iโ€™m not really paying attention because Iโ€™m building Scott Pilgrimโ€™s head in Minecraft)”

O_o

It’s crazy how many different things you can make in Minecraft. Now that my new 2GB of memory came in the mail, maybe I can actually play Minecraft and make something crazy, too.

7. zeldadude says:

FINALLY! okay I just want to say that I almost got addicted to checking your homepage between every edit in wikileaks essay. second I WILL LISTEN NOW!

8. blaster says:

I finished my first round of listening, and I have only one thing to say.

WE WANT TO HEAR LINSY’s VOICE!!

• Doopliss says:

We did! Go to the part where Ray says she’s sleeping. She’s in the background. She shows up a few more times as well.

9. Blade says:

Always great to see a new podcast show up on the page, but I gotta say, they’re getting pretty generic. I think you probably should’ve done a few more fan suggestions to mix it up a bit. And after all this time, when Tim said he saw some of Scott Pilgrim, I got so exited! Then when I heard “I didn’t really like it” all I could think was “Oh Tim…”

10. One and a half months until I’m ‘too old’ for gaming?!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!1111
๐Ÿ™

11. DrOswald says:

I actually bet that gnomeo and Juliet came after the process. its a very logical name.

First, someone says “Lets copy toy story. How could we do that and not get sued?”

Then, someone suggests “Well, we could have garden gnomes instead of toys.”

That’s when they think of the name. After they decide to knock off Pixar.

12. Mr. Saxaphone says:

Sad face ๐Ÿ™ no Christmas cast. Can

13. Rey says:

Thank you! Someone else who didn’t like Scott Pilgrim! I didn’t really like it for the EXACT same reasons. There were funny parts, but overall, it was extremely meh.

14. ยญ says:

I am re-listening to your old pod-casts. You had a laugh track.

15. Victorioso says:

This brought back the smile that nothing but your old podcasts could back to my face.

Thank you.

16. ยญ says:

I think you should listen to this Podcast Tim and Ray. it is one of yours.

17. Wolf5297 says:

IT’S NOT NEW YEARS! I KNOW IT’S NOT!

Rising from my grave, I guess. Can I still do that?

You guys used to be good are and always will be amazing.

I loved your comics and I have listened to every podcast, my favorite being Internet Police.

Even if you guys are sorta done with this, I still love everything on this site. I can’t wait for the next Postmortem. And Tim, congrats on the new baby. (You’ll get there eventually, Ray.)

18. Retl says:

The “Listen” link for this podcast from this page appears to be broken. The link on the page this comment is going onto though seems to work just fine.

19. Wolf5297 says:

HAPPY 4 YEAR AN- oh, wait.

20. shmoopshybob says:

Gasp! Finally! I have listened to every podcast! I started listen to them back when the comics ended. At first I was listening to them backwards, (not sure why) but then I realized that was kind of stupid, and went back to the start and I now have listened to all of them.

I found your sight through Brawl In The Family, and while I read all comics in a day or two, I didn’t listen to the podcast until later, which actually made me enjoy your comics MUCH more then I did the first time.

Too bad I did find your site sooner. I would have loved to have been part of your community.
Which is saying something because I rarely ever comment on any websites.

Oh, and I really like your Donkey Kong comic too.

• Ray says:

Thanks, shmoopshybob! (and everybody else for that matter)

I’m hoping to get us recording a new episode soon, so there should still be more content coming, although at an obviously much slower rate than ever before… ๐Ÿ™‚

• shmoopshybob says:

By the way… You mentioned forever ago that your old theme song was from a video game… Did you guys ever say what it was from? if so, I missed it. I’ve been curious about it for quite some time now.

• Ray says:

Yes, it’s called “The King of Speed” or “Rolling Start” from the many Daytona USA games by SEGA.

21. Corbin Brickhouse says:

I have been showing my dad numerous 2P Start live episodes, and when I showed him this one and Tim said he didn’t like Scott Pilgrim, my dad said:”Wow, doesn’t this guy like anything!?”. BTW, can’t wait for the next podcast!
