One Of You Has Won A Wii!

Wii

TimGood news, 2P START! faithful, one of you has won a Wii! That’s right, the Ready 2 Rumble Revolution contest winner will NOT receive the minimum prize of a 2P START! t-shirt, but instead will receive a Wii and a copy of the not-yet-released Ready 2 Rumble Revolution game! It turns out, 2P START! was the 5th most influential site participating in the giveaway, barely making the cut for the prize. So who wins? You’ll have to listen to the podcast on Monday to find out as we will be drawing the name of the winner DURING the podcast recording live broadcast! So if you entered, just know that you have a 1 in 32 chance of winning, good luck!

I already kinda have a Wii, and I doubt i’ll win something from this site twice.

But in the off chance I did do, I have plans for it.

  4. Ray says:

So… That means you’re going to be broadcasting this live by streaming it over the internets?! It’s about time you started doing that!

You wouldn’t want that instead of an edited podcast. Trust me.

  5. Anon says:

    I would.

    Tim and Ray…RAW AND UNCUT!

  6. igorponweed says:

You know, I could really use a Wii. Yep. I don’t come to this almost completely nintendo themed comic because I have one! But seriously, I would love a Wii!

  7. roadjcat says:

Considering I already have a Wii, you guys can throw my name out of the drawing. Let someone else have it.

  8. RedVinnie says:

keep my name in there. cause if i win ill be donating it to a local charity. i also want 2P start uncut podcast!

  9. ubuntun3rd says:

Wow! 2P Start! was 5th in the contest. What other sites participated? Who’d we beat?

  12. vincecult says:

that is really cool! how does it feel being so influential? that must mean that some people who clicked didnt leave a comment to enter. ehat a bummer for them!

  13. Kvb says:

I already have a Wii, and I live in Europe. So there’d be the whole region lock issue as well.
So it’s probably not going to me. Not that I wouldn’t have some good causes for a Wii.

That’s a pretty amazing prize, though, guys! I never would’ve expected something this expensive to be given away.

  14. Rokai says:

I have a Wii so I don’t need one. If you draw me, draw again somebody else. Hey wait, I didn’t even participate….nevermind then.

  15. ultimateDK says:

5th place? good stuff guys! way past cool.

  16. ubuntun3rd says:

So will the names be drawn out of Ray’s Sonic hat?

  17. 1 in 32! Lol,, guess this should be a life lesson for myself. Apply for all free lotos.

    Just beware of “The Lottery”.

Also, free Wii? Didn’t expect that as a prize. Neat.

  18. MetaRidleyR27 says:

Ah man, The Lottery. Loved that story. Such a good twist at the end. 🙂

And I’m curious, if the 5th place prize is a free Wii with a copy of the game, what on Earth could 1st place have been?

I’ll keep my fingers crossed but since I already own a Wii, I won’t be terribly devastated if I don’t get it.

  22. D3vin says:

I think I should win because of my change of heart, causing Tim (and to a lesser extent, Ray) to win the contest. Especially since I have no Wii, and I am left out of the grind with all of my fellow 2p-Starters who do. If I win the Wii, I can finally play classics like Brawl and MarioKart Wii.

  23. fierce diety says:

wow i shouldve entered this contest

  24. Noodle says:

So. How does it work if I’m in Australia an it’s on the podcast? Because.. Like yeah. What time is it released, I’ll see whether I can stay up/wake up that late/early.

    1 in 32. That’s pretty good!

But that would mean that you’re lying to your ever faithful listeners and readers. If Tim did the Podcast editing this wouldn’t happen.

  26. roadjcat says:

Y’know, just once, I think I’d like to listen to an unedited podcast. 🙂

I’m thinking that it’s more of a problem about actually playing games. Aren’t Wiis region locked, so you could only play NA games? Or will the prize be arranged to be a Wii from the winner’s region?

I probably should have left a comment before, but I didn’t really have much to say. Oh well, I’ve got a Wii, so I just would have given it away anyway. Would’ve been cool, but oh well.

And for the record, I don’t see why everybody’s so worked up over Punch-Out Wii. Maybe it’s because I never played the originals really, but it just seems like Wii Boxing with different characters and possibly tighter controls, but you have to pay $50 for it this time. Why is everybody so excited for it? :/

I’d be happy with a NA wii, I could import without a modchip! Though, I’d probably end up giving this away, but yeah then region coding. I don’t know. Maybe I’d give my PAL Wii away. Well we’ll find out 1 in 32 chance!

  29. D3vin says:

A little off topic, Does anyone else sometimes read the “!” as an lowercase “l” making the title, ‘One of you has won a Wiil’?

Y’know, just once, I think I’d like to listen to an unedited podcast.

Yeah, just to see what is cut out, Maybe like an “uncut Dvd” version of the podcast, Along with the regular plain vanilla boring 2P START! podcast

  30. I don’t see why everybody’s so worked up over Punch-Out Wii. Maybe it’s because I never played the originals

Yup, that’d do it. If I had never played the NES game (AND owned the so awful it’s cool PowerGlove) I would have zero interest in the game. As it is, my interest in the concept of a Punchout sequel is far greater than my interest in the actual game.

  31. If I win, draw another name. I already have a wii, and some other member could use it more.

Kinda late for that. They record (or I’m pretty sure they do) on Saturday.

    Dude it’s live!

What time is this going to be so I can work it out for my region? GMT +10?

  38. Ray says:

Just to clarify a few things before the big reveal:

    1) The show will not be live. I blame Metal_Link for misinterpreting Tim’s attempted humor. (it’s okay, we still like you)

    2) The podcast will become available at 11am PST on Mon, February 9th. On the dot. Be there!

    Thanks for being great readers!

  39. Supersonic24 says:

You should have had it on a weekend, when people would be free to look at it anytime of the day. I have school then.

  40. sheppy says:

Well, if I win, that Wii goes to my parents. They’re permanently borrowing my current Wii until something I have interest in comes out so it would be nice just to shuffle one off to them.
