I thought that the Zombie list was a bit silly, but the OCD list was spot on. I do every one of those things, except the animal crossing thing because I have never played one of those games.

Nice! Zombie mode would make a lot of games more fun, provided that they didn’t detract from the other features. The OCD list was really awesome! I’ve definitely done a few of those, espicially 6 through 1. 🙂

I saw that OCD list on GoNintendo, and I had to agree with pretty much all of the ones from games I’ve played. I added the Mega Man one to my list today because I just downloaded the first one…and I suck at it. But since it’s my first Mega Man game, hopefully I can chalk up some of my plentiful deaths to inexperience.

  4. tustin says:

That’s not even Sim City in the Zombie list, that’s SimsVille – completely different game. SimsVille had some 3D in it, while SimCity, as far as I know, never had a 3D title.

*Goes to read OCD list, when it actually loads.*

  5. tustin says:

Hm… I stand corrected: Sim City does have a 3D version, but I’m still sure that picture on the Zombie List is from SimsVille. Also, minusworld seems to be down or something…..

    I can’t open the OCD list for some reason . . .

    I can’t open the OCD list for some reason . . .

    I got that too, It’s up now…
I’m guilty of: (I’m gonna list these so In case the website goes down again)

#4: Timing Your Jump After A Super Mario Bros. 3 Boss To Catch The Wand Perfectly Mid-Air

I did this as a kid, thinking “oh no The wand will break!” Now, it is more of a habit

#3: Audibly Singing “SEGAAAA” When A Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog Game Booted Up And The Sega Logo Flashed

Sega! I do this to all Sonic games, so I am more along the lines of even more of a freak.

#1: Jumping As You Enter A Boss Door In A Mega Man Game

I just do it because the action freezes, the door opens the camera pans. Just to do it again when you pass that stretch between the first door and the second door leading to the boss.

I don’t really aggree with the zombie list, they have seperate games if you want to play as or against zombies…

  8. mocliamtoh says:

For my OCD habits, 6-2, to a lesser extent 1, and to a much lesser extent 7.

  9. #1: Personally, I preferred to be jumping AND shooting at the same time. Or, as in Mega Man X, dashing and shooting at the same time. OR, as in subsequent Mega Man X games, jumping then air-dashing AND shooting at the same time. Of course, nothing compares to Shoryuken-ing your way through a door in X2…

  10. roadjcat says:

I haven’t looked at the zombie thing yet, but the OCD is kinda stupid. XD Of course you reorganize your furniture in Animal Crossing…that’s kinda the point of the game, same reason it’s not OCD to shoot the enemies in an FPS.

I will admit though I did shoot the doors multiple times in Metroid, but I stopped when I learned about the loading time thing.

  11. zijjh says:

    Okay,

    – I like the zombie list, in particular Duck Hunt, ironically, I had secretlly wished a zombie would jump out and kill the dog, take that for laughing at my lack of hand-eye coordination!

    – never played fallout
    – guilty of reorganizing to the point of OCD
    – I have 10+ tales of symphonia save files
    – RedSteel for the empty gun win!
    – I would eventually try to blow my way through the doors but mostly because I didn’t kill the enemies and they were trying to kill me
    – I get angry when I somehow miss the magic wand
    – I walk aroung singing SegAAAAA mainly just to annoy people.
    – If I lived in Hyrule, I would be a rupee-naire
    – I never thought about it before, but I do jump/shoot/slide, ect, before the boss, then I pretend Megaman is in the Matrix and is about to be eaten by a giant killer plant! What, I don’t need therapy >:(

  12. cramill says:

Nice lists. I liked the zombie one, and the of OCD ones, i’ve done #1,2,3, 4, and 5.

  13. The Gastronomic Gamer says:

Speaking of zombies, has anyone else heard of, “I Am Not Infected”?

  14. tustin says:

Oh yes, I’m guilty of a few OCD moments:
-#9: Picking Up Every Single Item In Fallout 3: I’ve never played Fallout, but I do do this in Pokemon and in text adventures. MUST GET EVERY ITEM!!!
-#7: Meticulously Juggling Dozens Of Save Files For One Game: For FFX, I have about 30 save files because I started a new one every time I though something big was going to happen. Consequently, I can basically replay the game from any point in the game. 🙂
-#6: Shooting A Few Bullets From Your Clip Before You Pick Up A New Clip In A FPS: oh yes, don’t remind me… GoldenEye…
-#4: Timing Your Jump After A Super Mario Bros. 3 Boss To Catch The Wand Perfectly Mid-Air: for the GBA version. I always do various things like this for style points. 🙂
-#3: Audibly Singing “SEGAAAA” When A Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog Game Booted Up And The Sega Logo Flashed: 😀
-#2: Picking Up Every Item In A Legend of Zelda Game Even Though You Already Maxed Out What You Can Carry: “No! The heart vanished!”
-#1: Jumping As You Enter A Boss Door In A Mega Man Game: Um, well, I haven’t played Mega Man, but I have glided through multiple doors in Kingdom Hearts 1/2.

    🙂

  15. Phos says:

Zombies in Sim City would actually be a pretty cool disaster.

I’m guilty of 2 and 1, though I have my reasons:

In Zelda, deciding whether or not to pick up an item takes more time than just grabbing them all in most cases

In Megaman, I jump because his feet don’t sink with the ground when he goes through boss doors. Also, I like his jumping sprite.

  16. BadnikHunter says:

I just have to say it… ZOMBIE CANCER! HAHAH YEAH! Trauma Center Awesome FTW

  17. Gadoink says:

I’m a victim of yelling “SEGA”

  18. BadnikHunter says:

I’m guilty of Organizing the funiture, Shooting a few rounds in FPS’s before getting a new clip, yelling SEGAA! in a genesis game, and jumping into a door in a MegaMan game.
